On 28-30 April 2026, the Dreamlopments Foundation team, led by Dr. Nicolas Durier, General Director, participated in the World Hepatitis Summit 2026 (WHS2026) at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok, under the theme Elimination for Everyone, Everywhere, Right Now!
The World Hepatitis Summit (WHS) is the only global hepatitis conference, focused on a multi-stakeholder, multi-sector public health approach, accelerating efforts to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030. This year, the Summit was organized by the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA) and the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand.

April 28 2026, Dr. Nicolas Durier was invited by the Thai Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to present C-FREE model of care at a session on “Expanding Hepatitis C Treatment, organised by the Ministry of Public Health Thailand”. This represents a recognition by the Thai government of the effectiveness of C-FREE model of care and its role in providing life-saving HCV treatment for high-risk marginalized communities, and contributing to HCV elimination.

April 29 2026, Dr. Phyu Phyu Kyaw, Research Physician of C-FREE project, presented a poster on "HCV genotypes and baseline NS5A resistance among key populations in the C-FREE-1 study in Thailand". In this project, the C-FREE consortium conducted retrospective testing of HCV genotypes and resistance mutations in 800 blood specimens of C-FREE-1 participants that had been stored for future research. The study provides a unique mapping of HCV genotypes and baseline resistance among high-risk populations across Thailand and can guide the continued development of national HCV treatment guidelines.

April 30 2026, Dr. Nyan Linn, our Head of Programs, gave an oral poster presentation on "Community-based testing and treatment of HIV and viral hepatitis for key populations in Thailand: the C-FREE-2 study." In this poster, the C-FREE consortium showed further evidence on the large demand for the C-FREE model of care and its high effectiveness. Between March 2023 and August 2025 (cut-off point of the poster analysis), as many as 3,120 participants enrolled in the 12 C-FREE sites across Thailand, 845 started HCV treatment with Sofosbuvir/Ravidasvir, and 95.1% were cured (per-protocol analysis).
